    Dr. Stefanie Ueda joined the UCSF faculty in 2010, helping to expand outreach services in the North Bay in gynecologic malignancies and serving to develop an educational exchange and surgical training program in Uganda. She has collaborated with Duke University to start the first in country gynecologic oncology fellowship in Uganda to expand cancer care and women's health services in sub-Saharan Africa. The fellowship has gained official recognition and sponsorship from both the Society of Gynecologic Oncology and the International Gynecologic Cancer Society in 2018.
