Dr Tiffany A Chen is a pediatric ophthalmologist specializing in the eye care of children, addressing a range of visual and ocular issues in this population. She has expertise in diagnosing and treating conditions such as refractive errors, strabismus (misalignment of the eyes), amblyopia (lazy eye), and various other pediatric eye diseases. Her role further extends to managing visual development in children and ensuring optimal eye health in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, providing individualized and compassionate care tailored to the unique needs of pediatric patients.
Dr. Chen's research endeavors revolve around investigating the clinical outcomes associated with pediatric eye disorders. Moreover, she passionate about effecting positive changes in patient care and resident surgical education through the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Dr Chen attended medical school at Stanford University before pursuing Ophthalmology residency at UCSF. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School before returning to UCSF to join the faculty.
Dr Chen is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, American Academy of Ophthalmology, California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and the Frederick C. Cordes Eye Society.
