My research interests have focused on safety and quality improvement. My quality improvement work has mainly involved patients with cystic fibrosis and tracheostomy and ventilator dependent. I serve on the tracheostomy taskforce on both sides of the Bay as well as lead quality improvement projects to improve safety and delivery of care for patients with CF.

My quality improvement work also focuses on improving medical education for our trainees and improving our curriculum for medical students, residents and fellows.

Clinically, I manage a wide variety of respiratory conditions but have an interest in tracheostomy and mechanical ventilation as well as cystic fibrosis. I oversee the Chronic Ventilation Program in the East Bay that provides multidisciplinary outpatient care for patients on invasive home mechanical ventilation. My other clinical interests include bronchopulmonary dysplasia, Asthma, congenital lung abnormalities and interstitial lung diseases as well as performing bronchoscopies.
