Dr. Rubinos is a neonatologist and a clinical associate professor in the department of pediatrics at UCSF. Dr. Rubinos also holds one of the Academy of Medical Educators Endowed Chairs in Pediatric Education, serves as an associate program director for the pediatric residency program, and was selected as one of the inaugural pediatric junior faculty leaders in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dr. Rubinos' academic interests are in mentorship for graduate medical education trainees as well as early career faculty. Dr. Rubinos led the development and implementation of an evidence-based mentorship program for all pediatric residents at UCSF and established an annual tradition of celebrating the accomplishments of graduating pediatric trainees who identify as under-represented in medicine. Dr. Rubinos' expertise in mentorship has been shaped by her participation in the UCSF Teaching Scholars Program, the Association of Pediatric Program Directors Fostering UIM Education Leadership Program, and the AAMC LEAD certificate program.
