Dr. Arielle Klepper is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist. She received her MD and PhD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, followed by internal medicine residency, chief residency, and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Her clinical focus is in both gastroenterology and general hepatology, joining Drs. Courtney Sherman and Treveni Defries, as well as Davina Martinez, in the HALT clinic, focused on the treatment of patients with alcohol-associated liver disease. Her laboratory-based research focuses on the role of infection in the progression of liver disease. Her primary projects include 1) interrogating microbial and host cells present in ascites fluid using sequencing-based techniques and 2) investigating the role of human herpesviruses in autoimmune liver disease, such as autoimmune hepatitis.

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
