Overview
Dr. Christopher Carlos is an Assistant Professor within the Division of Nephrology and a board-certified nephrologist. He practices both inpatient and outpatient nephrology. In his outpatient clinic, he specializes in treating patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, end-stage kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte imbalances and glomerular disorders.
Dr. Carlos earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UCSF, where he also completed a fellowship in Nephrology. During his fellowship, he obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Research from the UCSF School of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. His primary research interest was in the effect of dialysis therapies on physical function and well-being.
He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and National Kidney Foundation.
