    Dr. Iris Otani is an allergist and immunologist with specific expertise in drug allergies, secondary hypogammaglobulinemia, and eosinophilic esophagitis. She is the associate program director of the UCSF allergy and immunology fellowship and the medical and quality improvement director for the Allergy & Immunology Clinic. She has led several multi-disciplinary collaborations to build innovative clinical treatment programs for drug allergy, including a cystic fibrosis antibiotic allergy evaluation program, inpatient beta-lactam antibiotic allergy evaluation program, and prenatal penicillin allergy evaluation program. She has published in the area of chemotherapy hypersensitivity and is collaborating with the Oncology division to standardize chemotherapy hypersensitivity evaluation and management. She has developed a program for secondary hypogammaglobulinemia screening and management in collaboration with the UCSF Lung Transplant Program.
