    I am the Director of the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service located at the Parnassus campus. In that role I oversee the clinical and administrative operations of the service. Clinical activities include performing consultations to multiple hospital medical and surgical services at Parnassus and Mission Bay campuses and the emergency room at the Parnassus campus. In addition, I serve as a clinical educator for trainees, including medical students, residents and fellows.


    Other clinical activities include clinical director of the Department of Psycho-oncology Psychiatry in UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, which includes collaborating and consulting with oncologists of all sub-specialties, pain and palliative care physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, psychologists and social workers, with a focus on assessment and recommendations for patients with pre-morbid mental health disorders, neuropsychiatric side effects related to a specific cancer diagnosis and/or treatment effects, cancer survivorship and end-of-life related issues. Other activities include performing mental health assessments for patients referred under the End-of-Life Option Act.
