    CLINICAL INTERESTS
Dr. Agarwal is a cardiologist with special interest in Non-invasive Cardiology, in particular congenital heart disease (CHD) in adults, cardio-obstetrics, echocardiography and cardiopulmonary exercise stress testing (CPET). Her clinical interests include the use of transthoracic, transesophageal and three-dimensional echocardiography in the diagnosis and management as well as to guide the interventional and surgical congenital heart procedures.

    RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Agarwal's research interests include clinical research in the areas of echocardiography, pregnancy in heart disease, adult CHD and CPET. In particular, she is interested in outcomes research aimed to reduce mortality, morbidity, and to improve quality of life for adults with CHD. She has been using big data to help understand the health care needs of this patient population (especially related to health care costs, service use and impact of insurance policies). More recently, she has been working on identifying and testing digital interventions to promote patient engagement to facilitate access to specialized ACHD care especially as these patients transition from pediatric to adult care. Her primary goal is to promote patient empowerment and patient engagement to improve patient outcome.

(Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication.
