Overview
Helen Horvath is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program. In addition to teaching NP students, she provides primary care to frail older people in their homes in San Francisco with the UCSF Care at Home - Housecalls Program. Her previous experience includes several years providing geriatric primary care, including clinic and home visits, with a geriatric community clinic in Berkeley, California.
Before coming to UCSF for her nursing education, she spent many years as a firefighter and paramedic in the San Francisco Fire Department.
