Overview
Dr. Stephanie Clavijo was born and raised in Riverside, California. She is a first generation student and attended UCLA for her undergraduate degree. She majored in physiological science with minor in public health and graduated with honors. She completed medical school as part of the Charles R Drew/ UCLA Medical Education program, which is a collaboration between UCLA and Charles R Drew University based in South Los Angeles. Dr. Clavijo pursued a Masters in Public Health during her medical education at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health focusing on Health Policy and Management. Currently, Dr. Clavijo is a resident as part of the UCSF Zuckerberg San Francisco General Primary Care Program. She is passionate about health equity and social justice in medicine as well as advancing anti-racist curriculum in medical education. Dr. Clavijo values mentorship and uplifting first generation pre-medical students from communities that have been historically marginalized.
