Overview Vivek Rudrapatna is a physician-scientist and Inflammatory Bowel Disease specialist in the Division of Gastroenterology. His primary interest is in developing methods to optimally repurpose electronic health records (EHR) data to support inference on real-world treatment effects. In the service of this goal, he oversees a research group that utilizes methods arising from data science and related disciplines, including bioinformatics, epidemiology, biostatistics, machine learning, and natural language processing.
Current areas of focus include synthetic control arm studies, individual participant data meta-analysis of clinical trials data, and automated information extraction from clinical free-text.
