Jane (Jaeyun) Wang, M.D. is currently a general surgery resident with the UCSF Department of Surgery. She completed her undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, majoring in Neurobiology, followed by medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society upon graduation.

Dr. Wang has been involved in clinical research in surgical oncology since 2015, contributing to projects investigating how we can improve perioperative prognostication for patients with colorectal cancer liver metastases. Most recently, she has become interested in using artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve detection of pre-operative margin status for patients with pancreas cancer.
