    Collapse overview
I am a physician-scientist interested in understanding the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying pulmonary vascular disease, particularly pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

My laboratory integrates human genomics and patient-derived multiomic datasets with genetic and pharmacological animal models of PAH to better understand the mechanisms driving disease development.

Our current research focuses on understanding how developmental transcription factors, particularly FOXF1 and SOX17, maintain endothelial cell identity in adulthood and how disruption of these regulatory programs contributes to pathological vascular remodeling in PAH. We are also expanding our efforts to understand how rare genetic variants influence disease susceptibility and to characterize their functional consequences in iPSC-derived vascular cells (endothelial and smooth muscle), as well as vascular organoids.

In parallel, our translational and clinical research aims to identify biomarkers that improve disease detection and refine clinical risk assessment in patients with pulmonary vascular disease.

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication.
