I am a hospitalist at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, caring for veterans on inpatient services including medicine teaching wards, the Faculty Hospitalist Service, surgical co-management, medicine consults and procedures. I serve as Assistant Chief of the SFVA Division of Hospital Medicine.

As a clinician-educator, I am very involved in the UCSF School of Medicine Bridges curriculum. I am Director of the first year medical student course focused on the social and behavioral sciences, "Health and the Individual/Health and Society." Additionally, I have an interest in physician advocacy, and have developed and teach an advocacy curriculum to the UCSF Internal Medicine residents.
