    Melisa L. Wong, MD is a medical oncology clinician-investigator with a particular interest in geriatric oncology and lung cancer. Her research focuses on understanding and improving patient-centered outcomes in older adults with cancer. Dr. Wong earned her undergraduate degree in Human Biology at Stanford University in 2005. She then completed her medical degree at the UCSF, followed by residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Medical Oncology. To obtain advanced research training, Dr. Wong is currently a National Institute on Aging-sponsored Aging Research T32 Fellow in the UCSF Division of Geriatrics and a candidate in the Master’s Degree Program in Clinical Research in the UCSF Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. In July 2017, she will complete her advanced research training and join the faculty in the UCSF Division of Hematology/Oncology.

    Dr. Wong is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Cancer and Aging Research Group, Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology Cancer in the Elderly and Cancer Care Delivery Research Committees, American Geriatrics Society, International Society of Geriatric Oncology, and International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer. She was a National Institute on Aging Butler-Williams Scholar in 2016 and has received four Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Merit Awards (2016 and 2017 ASCO Quality Care Symposium, 2016 and 2017 ASCO Annual Meeting).
