      Lisa Winston received her MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1994. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at UCSF and was Chief resident at SFGH. Following Chief residency, Dr. Winston completed fellowships in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Pharmacology at UCSF.

      She directs the Inpatient Medical Services and is the Hospital Epidemiologist at San Francisco General Hospital. Her research interests are infection control and prevention and antimicrobial resistant bacterial pathogens.
