    Dr. Gibson is a psychologist and health services researcher based at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. She is dedicated to advancing understanding of women's health and mental health related to menopause and aging, with the goal of improving gender-sensitive care in integrated health care settings. Her current projects focus on the role of menopause symptoms in comorbid mental health and chronic health conditions, and the impact of interpersonal trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder on menopause symptom burden and healthy aging among civilian and Veteran women.
