Impact of gut bacterial metabolites on lung function and disease
    NIH/NHLBI 1K08HL165106-01A1Apr 1, 2023 - Mar 31, 2028
    Role: Principal Investigator
Description: Acute Lung Injury is a devastating and prevalent condition with poorly understood links to the gut microbiome. I propose to study how host control of a key gut bacterium changes pulmonary metabolite exposure from the gut microbiome and downstream inflammation during Acute Lung Injury. This project will lay the foundation for future studies defining how gut bacteria change lung function in alignment with NHLBI strategic vision 1.CQ.07.
The Gut Microbiome in Predisposition to and as a Marker of Sars-CoV-2 Infection
    Benioff Center for Microbiome Medicine 2013260Jul 1, 2020 - Jul 1, 2021
    Role: PI, Investigator
Description: Trainee pilot grant to identify changes in the microbiome of humans and ABSL3 infected mice secondary to SARS-CoV-2.
Exploration of Novel Autoantigens in Patients with Idiopathic Pneumonia with Autoimmune Features
    UCSF CTSI Jun 1, 2017 - Jun 1, 2018
    Role: PI, investigator
Description: Project to identify novel autoantigens in patients with interstitial lung disease.

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
