Discovering Infection-mediated Pathways of Glioma Etiology and Prognosis by Leveraging Multiplex Serology and Immunogenomics
    NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE 1R01CA266676Sep 1, 2022 - Aug 31, 2026
    Role: Principle Investigator
Description: Glioma has been associated with a number of infections. We will examine antigen reactivity to all infections previously linked with glioma to assess the risk and survival associated with each of these infections and groups of co-infections. We will then sequence an area of the genome that controls immune response to determine which genetic alterations interact with infections, and how infections and genetics together alter risk and survival of glioma.
HKLE-seq: an enrichment method for unbiased amplification and next-generation sequencing of all HERV-K and SVA (HKLE) insertion breakpoints genome-wide in human DNA samples

    Role: Principal Investigator

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
