    Dr. Rupal Shah is Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine. She serves as an attending physician in the Lung Transplant Program and the Interstitial Lung Disease Program. She specializes in care of patients with advanced lung disease, both before and after lung transplantation.
    She is the Medical Director for Adult Patient Experience at UCSF Health and is passionate about improving the care, communication, and experience of patients who seek care at UCSF Health.
    Dr. Shah received her undergraduate degree from University of Michigan, and a Masters in Clinical Epidemiology from University of Pennsylvania. She completed medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine and did her internal medicine residency at Columbia University and advanced training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at University of Pennsylvania. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine.
