Dr. Sara C. LaHue is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology at UCSF. She is a neurohospitalist (neurologist focused on the care of hospitalized adults), researcher and educator. As a neurohospitalist, she serves on the Neurohospitalist Society Executive Board, the Neurohospitalist Editorial Board, and is an active member of several American Delirium Society committees. She holds a Visiting Scientist appointment at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging. She is coauthor of the textbook "Emergency Neurology" (2nd Ed., Oxford University Press 2021).

Dr. LaHue's research interests span several areas within neurology, though the majority of her grant-funded work centers on translational investigations of delirium, sleep, and cognitive impairment in hospitalized older adults. She is also passionate about improving the care of women with neurological disorders through educational initiatives and research, serving as the Director of Education for Sex- and Gender-Enriched (SAGE) Neurology. Dr. LaHue also directs the emergency neurology simulation curriculum for residents.

Dr. LaHue obtained her medical degree and completed residency in Neurology at UCSF, where she served as chief resident. She also completed her Neurohospitalist Fellowship at UCSF. Dr. LaHue is board certified in Neurology.

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
