      Srikantan Nagarajan, PhD, is a Professor in Residence, Director of the Biomagnetic Imaging Laboratory, and Co-Director of the Brain Research Interest Group in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco. He also has an appointment in the Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences at UCSF. He also is an active member in the UCB-UCSF Graduate Program in Bioengineering and serves on the Executive Committee.

      Dr. Nagarajan’s research interests focuses on understanding brain plasticity associated with learning, and determining neural mechanisms of auditory feedback processing during speech motor control and developing novel and power algorithms of functional imaging of brain activity, brain connectivity and brain computer interfaces.

      Dr. Nagarajan has served as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator on several NIH research grants. He has over 100 published articles and he has written 39 peer-reviewed manuscripts. He is a co-author of Adaptive Spatial Filters for Electromagnetic Brain Imaging (Springer; 2008).

      Dr. Nagarajan obtained his BE in Electrical Engineering at the University of Madras, India, and he completed his MS in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Nagarajan received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship from UCSF.
